New Student Orientation
One of the many benefits of attending Clark Honors College is the personal attention our students receive, an example of which is our New Student Orientation (NSO). Students meet their fellow students, faculty and staff, participate in stimulating discussions, and learn about opportunities and resources unique to Clark Honors College students. Lunch and snacks are provided. The day ends with Prince Pucklers Homemade Ice Cream and the traditional walk to Hendricks Park, hosted by the Clark Honors College Student Association.
Prior to arriving on campus, students are usually asked to study selected readings, or write short papers to prepare themselves to contribute to small discussion groups. At the end of August, letters are mailed to new students with NSO schedules, including access information for any copyrighted materials.
The day before NSO, students arrive and check into their Residence Halls. Students who did not attend IntroDUCKtion are advised in the afternoon, and there is a reception for new parents in the evening.
Please watch the Event Calendar for dates, times and locations of the next New Student Orientation.
