Nominations Sought for Alumni Achievement Award
The Robert D. Clark Honors College Alumni Advisory Council calls for nominations for the 2008 Alumni Achievement Award. The award is designed to honor an alumnus who has made significant lifetime contributions to industry, society and the betterment of the human condition.
In 2010, the college will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Over the past fifty years, Clark Honors College has produced close to 2,000 exceptional scholars who have gone on to accomplish impressive achievements in all fields and professions.
“As we anticipate this significant milestone for the college, we feel it is particularly apropos to recognize and celebrate the achievements of the distinguished members of our vibrant community of scholars,” said Amy Kari, chair of the CHC Alumni Advisory Council.
Past award winners include Ival McMains, class of 1970 and CEO of Family Fitness, and Kathleen Liberty, class of 1969 and pioneer in the field of special education.
The Alumni Achievement Award winner will be honored at an awards reception at the Portland UO White Stag facility on Friday, February 20, 2009, as well as at events at the campus in Eugene.
