CHC Director of Admissions
Thank you for considering the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon. At the CHC, we believe that education is much more than earning a degree! The CHC is comprised of students from every department and school at the University of Oregon—from architects and musicians to biology and business majors. Our classes are designed to foster intense and creative exchange among different approaches and viewpoints. This diversity of viewpoints is one of the CHC's greatest strengths.
Admission to the Clark Honors College is competitive, with more than 1,600 applicants competing annually for 200 spots. The Faculty Admissions Committee carefully reviews the short self-introduction, admission essay, teacher recommendations, description of accomplishments, SAT or ACT scores, cumulative high school GPA, depth and breadth of high school curriculum, and the ways in which you will add to the diversity of the Clark Honors College community. You'll find a general profile of CHC applicants on our Fact Sheet.
I am available to guide you through the CHC admissions process. To get started, please explore our website for admission information and instructions. If you have questions that are not answered in our application materials or on the web site, please send an e-mail to email@example.com or telephone (541) 346-7600. I look forward to hearing from you!
