MAKE FINAL REVISIONS
You’ve completed your thesis defense, received comments and suggestions from
your committee, and are ready to prepare a final thesis draft. If you haven’t
already done so, you’ll want to consult the
Thesis Style and Format Guide
for final formatting guidelines.
Usually your Primary Thesis Advisor will advise you on the accepted styles of
citation and bibliography in the premier journals in your major field of study
(the standard), and you can customize the guidelines in the Thesis Style and
Format Guide to follow the format model recommended by your advisor.
Another style manual you might want to look at in the library is the Manual
for Writers of Term Papers, Theses, and Dissertations (Turabian, 1996).
SUBMIT FINAL COPIES WITH SIGNATURES
Once you have formatted and printed your final thesis draft, you’ll need to submit two copies to the CHC Academic Coordinator, Kris Kirkeby:
-
Both copies of your manuscript must be printed or copied on minimum 25
percent cotton bond or equivalent weight;
-
Each copy should include a blank flyleaf (25 percent cotton bond)
before the first page and after the last page of your thesis.
-
Check your copies after duplication to be sure they are clear and
readable. If you have any doubts, show the original to the CHC
Academic Coordinator in the CHC office. Poor copies will not be
accepted.
-
Both copies of the Abstract page must include the original signature
of your Primary Thesis Advisor;
-
Each copy of your manuscript must be unbound and separately packaged
in envelopes with a printout of your
thesis envelope cover sheet
taped to each envelope.
TIP: The CHC Computer Lab printers can only print on plain paper. You’ll need
to print one copy of your final thesis and then photocopy your final two
copies on the required 25 percent cotton bond.
