The Robert D. Clark Library is a collection of over 1500 books and journals from a wide array of disciplines. Almost entirely donated by students and alums, it reflects the unique character of the Clark Honors College curriculum and culture. As well as these materials, the collection also includes an archive of the intellectual output of honors college students, from the CHC Creative Arts Journal to every thesis written and defended at the college.
In recent years, the library has undergone a series of significant developments. Thanks to alumni donations, new bookcases and lighting were purchased to better protect the library's collection, and make the space more pleasant and inviting for students. In the summer of 2003, the book collection was integrated into a library of congress call number system, helping to make it more organized and useful to students. In addition, this past summer, the entire thesis collection was entered into a database, which will be used to add the work of Clark Honors College students to the Scholar's Bank project at Knight Library. Students will now be able to search past theses by subject, title, author, year, or keyword, and utilize these works in their own scholarly research.
The resources of the R. D. Clark Honors College Library are open to all honors college students, faculty, alumni and the U of O community at large.
