Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been getting bad press, and rightfully so. It's being used to promote profits over people or to assert power over marginalized groups. In this course we will look at the ways that AI is being used for good, in typically underreported areas like Health, Animal Rescue, the Environment and K12 Education. You will get your hands dirty!  You will actually program AI algorithms for the good. Students will be given time during class to work on problems. This includes interacting with other students and the Professor. There are no prerequisites for the course. We will be learning to use the Python programming language but the course will start from ground zero, i.e., there is no expectation that students have programmed in the past.
