CHC Scholarships

Through the generosity of our alumni, continuing CHC students have the opportunity to apply for a number of scholarships. (Except for a scholarship for international students, incoming freshmen and transfer students should investigate the UO's Student Financial Aid and Scholarships site). Past scholarship recipients have included editors of the Creative Arts Journal, students who did internships in public health, and students who have lived in places as diverse as Mali and France.

CHC students are strongly encouraged to apply for distinguished scholarships at the state, national, and international level, and faculty mentorship and support is provided for students wishing to make such applications. CHC students are past winners of many prestigious scholarships including, among many others, recent awards of the Marshall, Mitchell, and Goldwater Scholarships. For general information on distinguished scholarship opportunities available outside the University of Oregon, please consult the UO Distinguished Scholarships website. For information about assistance to you in the CHC, please consult your faculty advisor or Associate Dean Louise Bishop at lmbishop@uoregon.edu.
