This course explores the multifaceted aspects of an art museum, transforming the experience of visiting the museum into an epistemological journey. During the course, students will study the art museum through multiple disciplines: urban studies, architecture, product design, art history, art education, and nonprofit management. The class is based on readings, interviews, and research conducted both individually and in groups. Students will also explore the two main museums on campus, the Jordan Schnitzer Museum and the Museum of Natural and Cultural History.
