Incoming Students

Incoming students are eligible for a variety of UO-wide scholarships, including merit-based, need-based and diversity awards. You will automatically be considered for some scholarships when you apply to the University of Oregon, and you will have to apply separately for others.

All award decisions are made by the Office of Financial Aid. If you are awarded a scholarship with automatic consideration, you will be notified by April 1, when financial aid award letters are sent.

CHC Welcomes Dreamers

The Clark Honors College affirms its support of all students regardless of immigration status or country of origin.

Undocumented and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students face unique barriers in their pursuit of higher education. The CHC has taken steps to ensure that our existing tuition waiver and scholarship programs are accessible to dreamers.

UO will again double the number of Stamps Scholars, who are automatically offered CHC admission, starting fall 2024.

The senior from Portland is majoring in neuroscience and minoring in chemistry and global health. She is the first UO student to be named a Rhodes Scholar in more than 15 years.

Of the nine first-year students who received UO’s most prestigious and generous undergraduate scholarship, six identify their moms as role models, several love their music, and James Baldwin, Jane Austen and Michelle Obama (among others) are tops for a conversation.
