The purpose of this course is to make students of social and natural disciplines familiar with the major types of agroforestry systems used by people in both developed and developing countries. It also informs students about the ecological benefits that farms and forests provide to humans, plants, animals, and to the environment. This course educates students interested in the interaction of biophysical, social, political and economic issues underlying the adoption and application of global ecological agroforestry systems.
