Stories are a fundamental element of human society. We learn from stories, and they can inform and persuade. Most important, stories capture our attention and help us make sense of the world. In this course, we will explore the anatomy of stories -- both fiction and nonfiction -- across the disciplines, including history, religion, literature, and the mass media.
