This course examines human-wildlife interactions. We will investigate the influence of wildlife on urban planning, the creation of protected areas, and the development of policies to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts. We will learn how to locate and analyze scientific literature, form research questions, and answer questions using a combination of research, discussion, and written assessment. These skills are essential to a liberal arts education and will transfer over to other areas of academia and beyond.
