Upper Skagit tribal artist Peter Boome works in a wide variety of mediums including: printing, carving, painting, glasswork, drum making, leatherwork, feather work, and more. His primary focus is contemporary Puget Sound and Coast Salish. In addition to the Salish designs, he also creates Contemporary Intertribal Art. This influence stems from spending the latter portion of his childhood on the Northern Ute Reservation in Utah.
Since 1996, Peter has been married to Lois Boome, who is an enrolled member of the Puyallup Tribe of Washington. Together, they have four children: Kayla, Malena, Araquin, and Thayden. Peter is the owner and designer of Araquin Designs, the small business he and his wife developed.
