This course provides Clark Honors College students with the opportunity to integrate academic learning with the hands-on professional experience of applying for an internship. Students will connect their career goals and academic focus to larger intellectual, ethical, and social questions, developing reflective and analytical skills that bridge theory and practice. Through readings, discussions, written assignments, and labor market research, participants will examine how internships contribute to personal growth, career exploration, and civic engagement. Students will research and apply for viable internships and experiential learning opportunities in their fields of interest, develop professional materials, and learn strategies for building and sustaining a professional network. The course emphasizes critical reflection, professional communication, and the translation of a liberal arts education into real-world contexts.
This course’s enrollment is restricted to CHC freshmen and sophomores.
Graduation Requirement: This 1-credit, pass/no pass minicourse can be counted toward the CHC Electives Requirement.
