Are you writing a CHC thesis on a science-related topic? This course will offer support, accountability, and guidance for CHC students writing a science thesis who hope to defend in 2027. We will discuss the stylistic conventions of science writing, including how to cite sources like a scientist and when to use (or not use) jargon. Most importantly, we will focus on telling the story of your science thesis work in a way that is accurate and interesting for specialists in your field yet still accessible to a general audience. Our goal is for you to make significant progress toward a completed, written science thesis that meets the goals of both you and your Primary Thesis Advisor. To get the best support from the class, you should be actively writing your thesis or ready to start.
