This reading and writing intensive course in creative nonfiction will introduce students to the breadth and depth of creative approaches within the genre of nonfiction. Students will read works from a range of diverse voices in the field of literary nonfiction. These readings honestly and vividly expand upon some of the most pressing issues of our times, including addiction, women’s reproductive rights, climate change, and the like. Students will also practice the craft of creative nonfiction through research-based essays, epistles, personal narrative, and the like.
