Call for New Council Members - Fall 2025

CHC Dean Carol Stabile is inviting first-year students to apply for openings on the Dean's Student Advisory Council. This Fall 2025 application cycle is for first-year students only. Please note that this is a volunteer opportunity and carries no compensation.

About the StAC

The CHC Dean’s student advisory council provides a forum for CHC students to discuss current campus issues, new ideas, and concerns with CHC leadership. Your voice is essential to shaping the future of the CHC.

As a member, you will meet each term to provide valuable input on college initiatives, help drive meaningful change, and advocate for student concerns. Being a member of StAC is an opportunity to make a lasting impact, develop your leadership skills, and be a voice for your fellow students.

Member Responsibilities

  • Members are required to attend StAC meetings from 5:30-6:30 twice a month. Members who are unable to attend regularly scheduled StAC meetings will be asked to step down and will be replaced with an alternate.
  • Members may be offered opportunities to meet with CHC stakeholders and community members outside of regular meeting times
  • Members may also be asked to serve as ambassadors for the CHC and attend receptions for groups such as CHC Advisory Council and UO Board of Trustees and/or to attend events for CHC alumni. It is expected that CHC Student Advisory Council members will attend these events if able to do so.
  • Members will prepare for meetings by communicating with peers across cohorts

Composition of Council

  • StAC will be comprised of no more than twelve students (minimum 2 from each cohort to ensure representation from each cohort)

Member Terms

  • Continuing students will be selected in Spring term for following academic year
