Apply for UO Housing as soon as possible:
Applying for University Housing is different for 2012-13 than in past years. As soon as you are admitted to the UO (and not before) you'll be able to apply for housing, make your initial housing payment and sign your housing contract, all online. Space is limited. Apply as soon as possible on DuckWeb.
May 1
The Clark Honors College Admission Response (blue) form is due. The revised form is attached here.
May 1 - June 3, 5:00 p.m.* SIGN UP for IntroDUCKtion!
Incoming CHC students take part in the larger university's IntroDUCKtion sessions. Clark Honors College Students must reserve a space at one of the IntroDUCKtion sessions in July; dates are listed below. IntroDUCKtion is your chance to become acquainted with Clark Honors College and the UO campus, to receive academic advising, and to register for fall term classes. Space is available on a first come, first served basis. Sign up early!
*NOTE: Deadline dates for Clark Honors College Students are different from what appears on the Orientation Programs website.
May 20
May Advising Day: Clark Honors College incoming transfer students receive academic advising about coursework that has already been evaluated and receive assistance with planning their schedules. May Advising Day activities are held in the Erb Memorial Union Ballroom Lobby. Contact UO Academic Advising for more information.
June 21
IntroDUCKtion for Hawaiian residents admitted to the Clark Honors College will be held in Honolulu for your convenience. Contact UO Orientation Programs for more information.
July 11-12, 14-15, 18-19, 21-22
These are the ONLY IntroDUCKtion sessions for Clark Honors College students, and participation is required. Please contact UO Student Orientation Programs if you need more information.
At IntroDUCKtion, you will also select and register for a Clark Honors Introductory Program (CHIP). CHIPs are one-credit classes organized by the Clark Honors College Student Association (CHCSA) which help freshmen settle into the UO and become familiar with the campus and Eugene. You'll work with your CHIP leader and the CHIP's faculty advisor to investigate a particular field of interest.
In 2011-12, CHIPs include Creative Writing, Theatre Arts, Sustainability, Conducting Your Own Research, Spanish, Exploring Health Care, Music Appreciation, Identity and Leadership, Foraging in the Pacific Northwest, Culinary Arts, Film and Society, Visual Arts, Chinese Culture, and the Apocalypse in Pop Culture.
August
Look for information on moving into the residence halls and events for new Clark Honors College students and parents toward the end of the month. Prepare to start your college career at the University of Oregon and the Robert D. Clark Honors College!
September 23
All Clark Honors College students arrive and check into UO Residence Halls (if living on campus). You will be charged an extra fee for arriving early. Contact UO Housing for more information on how to make an Early Arrival Request.
Enjoy the official welcome at the Clark Honors College New Parent/Guardian Reception in the evening. Meet and mingle with other new parents, faculty, and staff. The reception will be hosted by Clark Honors College dean and associate dean. Refreshments will be served.
September 24
The Robert D. Clark Honors College New Student Orientation (NSO) is a program presented by the Clark Honors College faculty to welcome incoming students. The faculty and staff provide essential information and prepare students for the exciting challenges ahead. NSO is a required event for all incoming freshmen and transfer students.
September 30
Classes begin.
