Professor:  Rebecca Altman

4.00 credits

CRN 12271: Tuesday & Thursday, 12:00-1:20pm @ LIB 322

Surfaces are avenues for change. From the technology of our touchscreen devices to the evolution of our biological membranes, surface science determines how we relate to and manipulate our world. In this course, you will engage with the scientific method through the lens of surface science. Through our lectures and class discussions, you will work in teams to develop and pursue an original research project that investigates some facet of surface science application. By gathering real surface science data from the world around you, you will analyze and report your results through written and oral presentations.
