Numerous studies reveal that many Americans, including college students, are apprehensive about public speaking, including sharing their ideas and viewpoints in public or more formal settings. Through a combination of readings, lectures, discussion, and numerous speaking activities, this course prepares students to be much more effective in public speaking.
