CRN 12250: Tuesday & Thursday, 8:30-9:50am @ ANS 192

This reading and discussion-based course will delve into the science of human-caused climate change due to the widespread combustion of fossil fuels for energy, heating, and transportation.  We will consider the evidence for and current expert assessment of the present-day and future consequences of Earth's changing climate, as well as the prospects for mitigation of and adaptation to these effects.  The course will be organized around alternating, instructor-assigned small-group presentations and class-wide discussions based on technical, philosophical/fiction-based, and organized advocacy-based reading material.
